Cubs are the second youngest members of the Scouting Family aged between 8 and 10 ½ years young, forming a group which is called a Pack. A Pack can be split up in to smaller groups called success with each individual six is named after a colour. In cubs the theme Jungle Book is used with the main the leader taking the name Arkala also the opening and closing of the meetings is called the grand howl in which cubs participate in each week. During their stay as Cub Scouts they will get lots of different opportunities to try a variety of activities which all contributes to Badges whilst developing the individual themselves as well as having fun developing friendships. Unlike Beavers Cub Scouts are able to camp out for multiple nights and participate in a wider range of outdoor/indoor activities like swimming, exploring, camping and much more. The Cub Scout Badges

As a Cub you will have the opportunity to gain any of the badges available to you from the 3 areas which are the activity badges, challenge badges and staged badges. Some of the badges are to be achieved from the work and activities you do at Cubs whilst others are achievable from what work you do outside of Scouting. For some of the badges available to do outside of Scouting please check the resources page to find downloadable packs containing information on how these badges are achievable and then bring along the evidence to your weekly meeting. If you feel you may have completed any badge in or outside of scouting and it has not been recognised please discuss it with a leader. Listed below are all the badges available to gain as a Cub Scout and where they should be sewn onto your jumper.
